i have an adsl with adsl/phone splitter
-just want to confirm if can i connect my fxo to the phone part of the splitter?

I've not done it myself but I can't see any reason why not,
the ADSL splitter filters the frequencies for voice (300 - 4000Hz) from the ADSL frequencies (25KHz - 1.1MHz). The FXO port will operate in the voice range of those frequencies.
If you start getting ADSL lines re-training everytime you get a phone call I was probably wrong.
