What is the default firmware for your 7911Gs?
It's possible your default firmware requires a interim upgrade before the final upgrade.
For all SCCP firmware upgrades from firmware release versions earlier than 8.3(3) to Version 9.2(3) or
later, you must first upgrade your firmware to an intermediate Version (8.3(3) to 8.5(2)) and then upgrade
to 9.2(3).

We attempted an upgrade that wasn't allowed and the phones were stuck at upgrading indefinitely.
Hope this helps.

Charles!
I can not upgrade because the reset (3491672850 # *) made the display stops working. Only see the LEDs flashing properly and after a while the machine restarts.
CP 7911G Display does not work after factory default reset.

TFTPD is a tool that can do all this
Grab the firmware, install the tool. Let it handout adresses with the tftp parameter adjusted to your computer and the phone should upgrade.
With wireshark you can see if the TFTP is being passed

If you Wireshark the phone, you'll probably still see it trying to upgrade via TFTP. My guess, as per Charles, is that the old firmware on the phone was too old and you need to go via 8.5(2) firmware.

Gordon,
Yes, I agree with that, but with the display off because of the reset I can not configure the IP TFTP sertidor the CP 7911G.
Is there any way to update the firmware?
Thanks for answering

First go and download the 8.5(2) firmware for the 7911 from cisco.com
Next, setup a standalone TFTP server and unzip the firmware into the TFTP's directory.
Alter the DHCP settings for the subnet the phone is plugged into to temporarily point to your standalone TFTP server (or just setup a separate subnet just for this type of thing. It's a useful thing to have around)
Then plug the phone into the network and leave it. It *should* upgrade itself - although the display will show nothing until the upgrade is complete.

Just to add to what Gordon has stated,
we resolved a similar issue by uploading the firmware to the call manager and changed the phone load to the new firmware only on the phone in trouble. Once the phone came back up with the new firmware I removed the phone load from the phone configuration and reset the phone. Then it upgraded to the default firmware.
if it's not grabbing an ip, the upgrade will not work and may need to be rma'd. But I would try the new firmware.
Hope this helps.

Yes, you will need a PWR-CUBE to power up the phone, connect the phone directly to your laptop or pc, run the tftpd server (DHCP and TFTP), unzip the firmware on your root directory and then you will see that the firmware is loaded to the phone, after that process the display will be working again.
Regards.
