CP-8832-MIC-WLS - is this compatible with the 8831 base unit?

The EOS/EOL announcement for the 8831 specifies that the replacement for CP-8831-MIC-WLS= is CP-8832-MIC-WLS=.  Does this mean that the CP-8832-MIC-WLS is compatible with the 8831?  Both 8831 and 8832 wireless mic's are DECT units so I think that they should be.  Has anyone paired the 8832 mic's with an 8831 base unit?

Replacement doesn't mean that its compatible with 8831. To use CP-8832-MIC-WLS= you need 8832 base station.
