Creating More Speed Dials?

Currently on my 8841 phone, there is only enough room for 3 speed dials (left side of screen). Is it possible to create more, and associate it with the numeric keypad? For instance, pressing 1 would dial a 7-digit number, or maybe someone internally instead of having to dial their 3-digit extension.

You can use abbreviated dialing. See the following doc.

You can always just configure translation patterns to do something like that as well, if someone dials a 2-3 digit code, send them to a 7-10 digit number, just be careful with overlapping.
