CSS in Voice Mail Pilot

What is the CSS in Voice Mail Pilot used for? Will the Voice Mail Pilot number initiate any calls?

AFAIK it shouldn't, the VM ports should be the ones making the outbound calls.

However the documentation does mention you need to configure a specific CSS.

Table 7-9     Settings for the Voice Mail Pilot Configuration Page

Calling Search Space

Select the calling search space that includes partitions containing the  user phones and the partition you set up for the voice mail pilot  number.
