CUCM 10.5, Alternate Extension Significance

What is the significance of " Alternate extension " i.e " Enterprise Alternate Number " and " +E.164 Alternate Number " on directory page?

Also how to update these value of directory page as when Bulk addition of phone is processed all field are updated/created while these two field of " Alternate extension " do not get updated or filled.

Also what about the Bulk entry of " Alternate Number ". I still have the issue on this.
