CUCM 7.1.5 Backup problem

Hello,

A cluster with five CUCM servers do backup to a windows server using freeftpd. Then, after adding CIUS support using a device packcage backup fails from some of the cluster servers, but others work.

I have readed and seems there are a more than 1Gb file issue on freeftp, but I see that servers that do the backup properly in the cluster leave in the sftp file larger than this size. Also I have tried with coreFTPd with the same result.

Any idea? Any recommended free SFTP server for Windows to test?

Answer:

Make sure that Cisco Unified Communications Manager is running. In a cluster, make sure that Cisco Unified Communications Manager is running on all servers in the cluster. To back up data to a remote device on the network, you must have an SFTP server configured. The following SFTP servers are supported and recommended, but you may use any SFTP server:

•Open SSH (for Unix systems, refer to http://openssh.com)

•Cygwin (refer to http://sshwindows.sourceforge.net/, or http://ipc-platform-team.cisco.com/index.cgi/DrfInfo/faq) ;

•freeFTPD (Currently not supported due to a file size limitation of 1GB)(refer to http://www.freeftpd.com/?ctt=download, or http://ipcbu-cap.cisco.com/tips/SFTP%20server.html)

•TitanFTP (http://www.webdrive.com/products/titanftp/index.html)

Hello,

Unfortunatly I have tried TitanFTP and also fails. If for example freeFTPd should fail, why work for some server in the cluster, if all have the same tftp backup length?

The problem only happens in the tftp backup, and always in the same file, strange ....
