Hi All,

We are doing upgradation of CUCM from 8.0 to 9.1 for one of our customer.

We are building the CUCM in isolated network so need your hellp on below query.

1. Can I install CUCM 8.0(1) without NTP server in isolated network

2. Can I aslo install CUCM 8.0(1) without DNS server as existing server is running with DNS

++ NTP is a mandatory

Please confirm, while doing restoration of backup, DNS is not require as existing server is running with DNS

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong:

You are trying to build new server in isolated environment and restore it with the working server back-up in isolated mode.

If my understanding is correct, the new server need not be connect with the DNS server

Do you have any documnet where is stated that NTP is mandatory for CUCM 8.0(1) installation in isolated network. As per my customer NTP is optional.

Hi Veera,

The DOC which u have shared does not state that NTP is mandatory.

I do agree that NTP is mandatory for CUCM 8.x installation.I could find lot of links which says NTP is required but did not find any cisco DOC.

if u have any other DOC, please share.
