Hi,
We have a CUCM 8.6.2a running on a UCS C200 M2. We recently connected a UPS to the UCS blade and I have read in the CUCM release notes that there is a feature that will gracefully shutdown the CUCM when low power is reached. But, I'm wondering how you activate it? The document only mentions about connecting a USB but since this is a virtual server should I make some configuration change to the ESXi?
Here is the link I'm refering to:

Thanks!
Angelique

I don't think you can achieve this, when you're running a virtualized CUCM.

Hi,
Some UPS providers such as APC have software that works with VMware ESXi and can down hosted virtual machines.

I have not tried setting this up but it should work as long as the VMware tools are up to date on the Cisco UC VMs.
