Hi Guys,
I am working a new build and restore of CUCM 9.1 and I noticed that some cop files were installed. Before I do the restore should I install these cop files? Will it fail if I perform the restore. I am thinking that it will fail. Just want to know your thoughts.

Hi,
Can you tell us what are the COP files you see ? As per the recommendation, you need to rebuild the server, restore the database and then install the COp files needed as a post replacement task:

I ran the command: file view install system-history.log
and I saw the following installed over the years.
cmterm-devicepack9.1.1.21017-2. cop
cmterm-8831-sip.9-3-3-5.cop
cmterm-78xx.10-1-1-9.cop
cmterm-devicepack9.1.1.21033-4.cop
cmterm-devicepack9.1.1.21033-4.cop

That will depend on why you installed those, if you installed a DevPack to gain a new device, then yes, you would still need it if you never upgraded to a release that offers native support.
If you only installed those due to the FW, it should have been backed up along with all the other TFTP files, same for the FW of the 8831 and 78XX

Hi,
No reason to install the COP files for restore, not required.
