In Route plan report, selecting unassigned DN option can give you the directory numbers which are not in use and not associated with any devices. Can you tell us what is your exact requirement? if you want to know the registered phone extensions which are not used for some time, i am not sure whether that is possible. You could probably get the CDR records for a duration and check for those extensions manually.

He already asked this yesterday, but it seems he wants an easy way to find this out.

CDR will give you information on what DNs ARE MAKING CALLS, you need to get the full list of DNs you have available, or have configured in CUCM (dial plan report) and do this by matching which DNs are making calls, which ones are BEING USED, the ones you can't find in the reports, you can assume are not being used. But, this is something you need to do manually.
CDR/CAR can only keep records for up to 6 months, assuming it was configured that way, and that you're not reaching the maximum size for the DB, which causes the records to be deleted, even if they're not 6 months old yet.
