i have a question

i backup a CUCM on VMware, now i want restore it to a server (like 7845 not virtual)

can i restore it?

Hi Liu,

I have never tried like this but as far as I know restores are platform independent .Only versions should exactly match.

Aman is correct, the only things that matter are that the HW is supported, and you're running the exact same version to restore

Keep in mind both scenarios need to be the same. Same IP Address, hostname, Security Password... Etc

Most common pitfall is people trying to restore to a server with a different IP/hostname combination. This is not possible in UC platforms.

Keep in mind DRS if meant for Disaster Recovery not for migrations, therefore there are some hard rules imposed into the process.
