Hi Folks,

I am running on CUCM version 7.X & want to move on 8.6. Currently I have MCS server 7835H2 with following configuration.

Show Hardware ••è

Software Release Version: 7.0.1.11000-2

Platform Release Version: 2.0.0.1-1

Hardware Model: 7835H2

Processors   : 1

Type         : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5140 @ 2.33GHz

Speed         : 2333 MHz

Memory       : 2048 MB

So can you guys please tell me that whether this hardware supports cucm 8.x or not. If not then what changes I need to make in my hardware. I gone through cisco PDF as well but got confused. So need your help here. Attaching show hardware of pub.

With Regards,

Deepak

Ths is probably your friend:

I can't see your 2.33GHz CPU option listed there. Only the 3.0GHz CPU option is supported for 8.6 - and that may/will need memory & HD upgrades. The 2.4GHz CPU isn't support on CUCM 7 or 8.

I'm guessing that if your hardware was supported on CUCM 7, it'll be supported (with memory & HD upgrades) on CUCM 8.
