CUCM , Voice Gateway and RIGHT FAX

Dear All

We have integrade voice gateway with right fax via h323 protocol

The issue now is that if one internal fax client want to sent a fax to another internal right fax client then the fax going through voice gateway to the pstn and coming back...withe results internal faxes to be charged

Now we cant dial 4 digits number for right fax client but a full geografical number

If we integrade CUCM with Right FAx then the internall faxes will go internally or no?

Is possible to dial a 4 digits(fax clients have 4 digits) and reach the other internal fax client ?

Yes sure you can use internal extent ion numbers as the call controll will be on the CUCM and CUCM has to know where the fax number located if it is noted registered to CUCM via ATA or vg22xx

But just becarful when you integrate with the right fax using sip trunk check the inbound and outbound sip using tcp or udp as they must match with fax server side you can edit it in the sip profile setting and assign it to the sip trunk if you gonna use sip

i am thinking to use H323 protocol for the integration between CUCM and Right Fax

So Right fax can not controll by its self the extension numbers that are assign to it?

Its need it CUCM for that right?

do you have any usefull dogumentation

RightFax can route faxes to itself without ever touching the Cisco environment.  You just need to create a four digit dialing rule that receives faxes back into the RightFax server.

Rightfax had something similar to cucm route patterns ti send the call

So you can create a dial plan on the right fax too
