Hi,
I have 2 2811 holding HW DSP. I have swapped a PVDM2-64 into 2811A. No configurations of 4 XCODER and 2 CFB profiles were made.
Now, the phones always try to use DSP in 2811B, which has only 4 XCODER. I was thinking the new DSP in 2811A is not working. But they are registered correctly with CUCM. 'show voice dsp group all' shows all 4 DSP's are up.
I tried to force the phone to use the new resources by creating one MRG that only has the XCODER points to the new 2811A. Put the MRG into a new MRGL and associate it with a specific phone via a DP. But the when I make a call between 729 and 711 phones, the other 2811B resources are always used even if they are not in the MRGL. The new resources in 2811A can not be used.
How can I force a test call to use only the new resources?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
you can do this test
Put the needed resource in a MRG
And the not needed one must be in another MRG [don't let it free]
Then assign the needed one to MRGL and assign it to your phone directly to have first priority
If not working, so some configuration issues may be in your gateway
Thanks

Hi,
I did exactly as you said with no success.
This gateway with PVDM2-64 is configured with 2 profiles: one XCODE with 6 sessions and one CFB with 2 sessions. The CFB is working fine. One BRI card and one E1 card are installed in this router. Here is the 'show voice dsp gro all':
