CUCME and 8841 Registration

Hello,

I'm having an issue getting CUCME running on our Catalyst 8200-1N-4T router and our 8841 IP-Phones. We're running IOS-XE 17.6, and I've attempted manually adding the phone's firmware to the bootflash of our device, yet when I run Router (config-ephone)#type ? the 8841 model remains unlisted. If I attempt to add a pool-type for 8841, it shows that the device-type already exists. Our running config (in-progress) is attached. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The 8841 is a SIP phone. The ephone configuration for CUCME references SCCP phones only.

To register an 8841 you will need to start with "voice register global" to invoke CUCME for SIP, then a "voice register dn" for the DN, and finally "voice register pool" for the phone itself. Then you should see the model available.

Take a look at the CUCME Admin guide for full implementation steps for SIP CUCME.
