Hi,

Starting with Cisco IOS Releases 15.0(1)M6, 15.1(1)T4, 15.1(2)T4, 15.1(3)T2, and 15.1(4)M, Evaluation licenses are replaced with Evaluation Right To Use licenses. Evaluation Right to Use licenses automatically become Right to Use licenses after the initial evaluation period.

The Cisco ISR G2 comes with a 60-day evaluation license. After 60 days, the license changes to "right to use". At this point the customer is required to pay for the CME-SRST feature license which is valid for 12 years.

Here is some additional information about it.

CME-srst licenses works like this. Once you accept the EULA, licenses will transition to permanent once the demo period is over.

I guess that's what showing up in your scenario. To confirm the same, can you share the below outputs:

show version

show license detail cme-srst

You can get more info reg this in the below link:

Hi Manish,

What would happen if a router has right to use license running on it without paying for a permanent one? Will the functionality stop working on the router if we reboot the router?

Thanks,

Shyam
