We are experiencing problems with sporadic "dead air calls" on 8945 phones on Cisco's contact Center.  I'm trying to determine if its an issue with network switch configuration.  The 8945 is getting 500ms Latency on stream-1 when the client looks like they do video connections. The phone is connected to a Cisco 3560-X below is port configuration:

Port:

interface GigabitEthernet0/5
 switchport access vlan 186
 switchport mode access
 switchport voice vlan 187
 switchport port-security maximum 2
 switchport port-security
 switchport port-security aging time 5
 switchport port-security violation restrict
 switchport port-security aging type inactivity
 srr-queue bandwidth share 1 30 35 5
 priority-queue out
 no snmp trap link-status
 mls qos trust device cisco-phone
 mls qos trust cos
 auto qos voip cisco-phone
 storm-control broadcast level 4.00
 storm-control multicast level 10.00
 storm-control action shutdown
 storm-control action trap
 spanning-tree portfast
 spanning-tree bpduguard enable
 service-policy input AUTOQOS-SRND4-CISCOPHONE-POLICY

Hi Bruce ,

Dead air would be normally due to an issue with signaling or a firewall / routing issue. A static switchport config would normally affect all calls, you should start by collecting a detailed callmanager service trace for one such call to verify the signaling part. The exact cucm and phone firmware versions are needed to check for potential bugs.
