Decoding pcm.dat

I've got a Cisco 2821 running 12.4(13r)T11 and created a capture on our PRI, using the following commands

voice hpi capture buffer 50000000
voice hpi capture destination flash:pcm.dat

test voice port 0/0/0:23.1 pcm-dump caplog 7 duration 255

I made a test call and ftp'd the pcm.dat to my laptop and thought I'd give it a shot extracting the audio using Audacity in the instructions listed here:

However, I just here an incessant drone. Do the instructions for Audacity in the above hyperlink only apply to the pcm-tracer command in the ISR2 and newer routers?

Additionally, can the pcm.dat files only be decoded by TAC?

The decoding tool used by Cisco TAC guy and not available open for all(publicily) that's the sad part.

you might need to open a TAC case just to get this decoded or you have any issue in respect to that.
