Diferentes consumos de potencia en equipos 7945(6.3 w y 12 w).

Hola, buen dia.

Me gustaría saber el motivo por el cual, el mismo tipo de telefono ip(7945), me consume diferente potencia(6.3 w o 12 w).

Como pueden observar, en algunos puertos del switch tengo conectados equipos 7945 y en unos indica un consumo de potencia de 6.3 w mientras que

en otros me indica un consumo de potencia de 12 w.

Quiero saber si necesito configurar algun parametro en el Call Manager o en el switch para dejar todos mis equipos(7945), operando con la menor potencia (6.3 w),

This is strange and I can't make sense of it.

From documentation, under no circumstance the 7945 should be using 6.3w. All the 7945s I've installed use the documented 12w.

I've found this document that mentions a "power up" mode of 6.3w

Maybe check if the phone showing 6.3w have display on, and is registered.

Hi Paolo.

What I did, is to turn the port gi0/33 off so that I can verify if the remaining power would increase to 6.3w or to 12w.

And what I realized is that the remaining power increased in 6.3w, rather than 12w. (It increased from 25w to 31.3w)

So the really power drawn at this device is 6.3w, isn´t it???

The big question still remains, why some devices are comsuming 6.3w while others 12w???

Note: I got a 7945 connected at the switch port gi0/33, and the power consumption indictated by the switch is 6.3w.
