Different Caller ID / Display Name for Internal and External Calls.

Our customer is looking to have different display name for both internal and external calls.

Like if it's internal call then person's name should be there but when someone make a call outside it should display company's name.

I have tried different workarounds but not working.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

You didn’t specify the products you’re using, their versions, the call path or protocol, relevant configuration, or what you have already tried unsuccessfully. Without more context, this is a shot in the dark:

 

Set the Caller ID Name field on the CUCM SIP trunk facing CUBE. While CUCM will not enforce this, the CNAM value must be 15 characters or less. I have seen calls fail with certain carriers if you send more than that.

 

Also, this entire question is only relevant assuming the call remains SIP end to end, the carriers do not strip PAI headers, and the external called party is configured to use the same identity header as you. If the call transits into the traditional circuit-switched network, a traditional database lookup will be made by the destination Co switch since SS7 does not convey CNAM.
