Hi,
We have a Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.0(3) with 8961 / 7961 phones.
Is there anyway that we can get the phones to look up "MS Oulook Address Contacts" , "MS Windows Address Book" , Web-Based XML Feed or even a text file to match the inbound calling number to display a name?
We are in the UK. UK service providers do not publish names on organisations or individuals like in the US.
We would rather not pay for scripts, but would rather like to have the knowledge in writing our own scripts to do this.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Ed

Paolo wrote a TCL script for that, if you don't want to pay for it, you should start by reviewing TCL material and try to do something similar.

Hi Java,
Thanks for your reply.
Do you know any documentation that may assist on building a TCL Script for number to name conversion.
Paying for it not out of the question, but it would be better to put my skills as a voice engineer into practice on a solution that should be ready to achieve,
Thanks,
Ed

Writing proper TCL/IVR script is not easy as it may seem. This is the documentation:

If you want scripts ready, working and supported, mines can be acquired at www.ciscoscripts.com
