Downgradeable or replacement for Unity 5 license.

Sorry about this question on very legacy stuff, but part of my company still running Unity 5 (not unified, just regular standalone Exchange) and we can't purchase more voice mail licenses according to our global vendor. I tried escalating as it seem strange Cisco supporting Unity 5 until 2013 or 2014 if I remember well.

The part numbers we used were:

UNITYU5-100USR-E=

UNITYU5-300USR-E=

UNITYU5-USR-E10=

Does someone know if a Unity 6 to 8 PAK could be downgradeable to use on Unity 5? I know we would lose them to a future upgrade to Unity 8 but that is not the plan. Sometime in 180 days we should migrate to Unity Connection 8.6. That particular site does not have software subscription so it does not matter paying twice (it is not good, but by several reasons, business could not allow upgrade protection 4 yrs ago when this was deployed).

BTW, if Unity 5 licenses can be purchase, that would be excellent too.

Thanks

Hello Rod,

In regards to the EOL the last date to order the product through Cisco point-of-sale mechanisms. The product is no longer for sale after this date. (December 10, 2010)

Unity Connection version 2 was also known as 6 so i am not sure if this was intended or a typo as Unity 6.x does not exist.

Additionally documentation does not seem to validade this type of procedure:

Best regards
