Hi All,
We've router 3845 show below
Cisco 3845 (revision 1.0) with 219136K/43008K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID FHK1319F3BH
2 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
124 Serial interfaces
6 Channelized/Clear E1/PRI ports
2 Voice E & M interfaces
DRAM configuration is 64 bits wide with parity enabled.
479K bytes of NVRAM.
62720K bytes of ATA System CompactFlash (Read/Write)
Configuration register is 0x2102
We are planning to add 1NM that have 2 E1 card.
Anyone please advice the DRAM memory that should be used?
Because when show proc mem the memory used is already 80%.
Thanks before.

You can max it up to 1 GB and altough likely not necessary, have peace of mind.

Hi Paolo,
thanks for your response.
Yeah I know the max DRAM Memory is 1GB and there's 2 slot there for memory.
I mean there's a way / tools to calculate the minimal requirement of the memory?
so when we upgrade the memory there's no unused cost (the memory installed is higher than requirement)
Thanks..

To be very honest with you, at $100/GB (third-party, quality proven module), personally I would not waste my time even looking for a tool.
