Hello,

An existing customer has a 2911 Router with one E1 PRI ISDN connected (CSS). (VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1)

The customer has a PVDM3-32 as far as hardware DSP recources goes.

The customer wants to add an additional card supporting 2FXS interfaces (VIC3-2FXS/DID)

Do the customer also need an additional DSP card for that?

Regards,

Fredrik

Depends on how many E1 channels are used, and what other features are needed. Check:

http://www.cisco.com/web/applicat/dsprecal/dsp_calc.html

The router only serves as an MGCP configured ISDN-Gateway.

Only G711 codec is in use.

I tried out your link and it seems to work, i would want an confirmation on my input:

I inputed the Router Model 2911

Slot0: VWIC3-1MFT-T1/E1 (E1)

Slot1: VIC3-2FXS/DID.

The webpage prefilles voice channel values.

I fill in the same number of channels as "low Complexity". (30 + 2)

(Only G711 codec used).

No additional services.

If everything is correct that means that the current PVDM32 is enough.
