I have a problem with a FXS port in a 3640 that is connected to an FXO port on a Panasonic PBX with Loop Start signaling. It is receiving duplicate DTMF events. I have tried various settings on the "timing digit" for that port at the following different settings: 50 ms, 100 ms, 250 ms, 500 ms.
However, I am still seeing the duplicate events.
The problem does NOT occur when a phone number is being dialed, but DOES occur mid-stream in a call.
Here is a sample duplicate of a user dialing 1-9,0 on the keypad. Voice Port Module signaling is enabled:
Feb 21 13:30:39.865 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 1
Feb 21 13:30:39.945 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 1
Feb 21 13:30:40.205 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 2
Feb 21 13:30:40.285 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 2
Feb 21 13:30:40.665 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 3
Feb 21 13:30:41.161 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 4
Feb 21 13:30:41.565 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 5
Feb 21 13:30:41.925 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 6
Feb 21 13:30:42.001 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 6
Feb 21 13:30:42.425 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 7
Feb 21 13:30:42.825 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 8
Feb 21 13:30:43.241 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 9
Feb 21 13:30:43.625 EST: htsp_digit_ready(3/0/0): digit = 0
The repeats happen randomly.

Any recommendations?

This happens because of the difference in inter-digit timers in the PBX and router.
Try changing the inter-digit timers.
