Hi,
We have some E1 PRI's in a building in our enterprise installed in two Voice gateways
We need to move all these E1's to another building that is far about 2 Km
We got an advise of using ASR901 (A901-12C-FT-D) [ TDM+Ethernet Model] and ASR902 with A900-IMA16D [ ASR 900 16 port T1/E1 Interface Module Requires patch panel ]
Is any one here know about these PNs of ASRs and is this solution is doable ?
Thanks
Haitham

I havent deployed 901, but all you need to do from PRI view is just make sure the ASR 901 or 902 whichever router you chose has got a TDM back plane to support PRIs for voice and make sure it has either on-board DSP resources or you buy PVDMs to terminate the PRI lines.

Hi Terry,
Thanks for your response
I check the data sheet and found this module
Cisco ASR 900 Series 16-Port T1/E1 Module
It require a patch panel and a cable. Cisco didn't mention any PVDM requirements. you can say we need to only transmission the PRI physically to another place
So I think we need 2 ASRs of this, one per each site
Also do we need to get this one A901-12C-FT-D in CO ?
Thanks
