E911 on non-Cisco switches

Can anyone tell me if there are any switch requirements for the E911/CER stuff Call Manager does that require a Cisco switch?  Have a customer that has some older Cisco switches and are looking at Dell/HP switches.  They want to make sure they won't lose their E911 (when someone calls 911 it provides the correct building, floor, suite, office location) stuff that Call Manager is providing to the 911 dispatchers.

Thanks

Non Cisco switches can be used with CER only with subnet tracking, unlike Cisco switches which can use subnet and/or switch port tracking.

So, if your ERLs map out to subnets i.e. one ERL per floor where dedicated VLANs exist then that could be a solution.

Thanks.  I was afraid of this.
