End an Eval / Right to use license

How do you manually terminate or end or deactivate an eval license? I inadvertently activated a cme-srst license when I upgaded my 2901 voice bundle router from 15.0.1M5 to 15.1.4M4 as the phones stopped registering. I've since read on here I should have re-configured the telephony service to get around this bug. This is a lab router, but concerned about the ticking license timer.

I have  a permenant uck9 license.

Thank you

Tony:

Please read this document:

http://tasc.netacadtasc.net/FAQdocs/SoftwareActivationCommandReference.pdf

"...To re-activate the evaluation license, use the license boot module technology-package command..."

Rad Baver

Thank you for the document Rad, I did not manage to find that. However my problem is that I do not have the cme-srst boot level config in the running config but when I issue a show license I can see this:

Index 3 Feature: uck9

        Period left: Life time

        License Type: Permanent

        License State: Active, In Use

        License Count: Non-Counted

        License Priority: Medium

Index 10 Feature: cme-srst

Period left: 8  weeks 3  days

Period Used: 5  hours 39 minutes

        License Type: EvalRightToUse

        License State: Active, In Use

        License Count: 40/0  (In-use/Violation)

        License Priority: Low

How do I stop or deactivate the cme-srst feature and go back to using the uck9 license?

2901V#license clear cme-srst

% Error: No license entries with the feature name: cme-srst

Tony:

Maybe you can test with this but not sure:

Example

The following example shows how to clear an active license:

Router> enable

Router# configure terminal

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

Router(config)# no license feature hseck9

% use 'write' command to disable 'hseck9' license on next boot

Router(config)# exit

Router# reload
Router# license clear hseck9

Also I want to highlight something: The cme-srst feature has as prerequisite the uck9 so at this moment (by your  show licence you are using) you are using 2 licenses: the uck9(permanent) and the cme-srst (eavaluation).

So the cme-srst Im not sure if you will be able to deactivate it but will expire and you will have only the uck9.

Thanks for your help Rad. I will try that when I get a moment. I also noticed after posting the above that the following:

Although aparently the uck9 license number 2 is an Eval, it is not ticking down the timer like the cme-srst is. I think and hope you are correct that the srst will time out and I'll be left with the license I have paid for (not less). I have read other posts regarding people upgrading their IOS universal image to obtain the different CME features without affecting licensing.
