Error: Line mode can't be changed while adding a new ephone

When i try to add a new ephone in CME, i get this below error.

Error: Line mode can't be changed, need to remove the dn and reconfig again.

Commands entered for the ephone creation:

ephone-dn  15 dual-line

number 3250

label Phone A-3250

description 3250

name Phone A

call-forward busy 3000

call-forward noan 3000 timeout 20

Is this an error or am i doing a wrong configuration ?

Hope this is nothing to do with phone licenses ?

What the line is telling you is detailed in the command notes;

Ephone-dns are created in single-line mode if the

dual-line

or

octo-line


keyword is not used. To change an ephone-dn from one mode to another,  for example from dual-line mode to single-line mode, you must delete the  ephone-dn and then re-create it.
