I have a brand new 8861 phone with the expansion module. When I connect the expansion module to the phone a message appears saying "The phone is unable to power this accessory". What am I missing?
Correct Phone Button Template is selected & BEKEM 36-button line expansion module is selected in Call Manager -

Reason why i am asking is i want to know what PoE standard are you using as
8861 with KEM will only be supported with 802.3at POE.
Refer to this doc.

Hello Jitender,
We're experiencing a similar problem.
Trying to deploy 8851 + 1x KEM.
Switch will power the phone and the phone will register each time, but it will not power the KEM.
According to your document, we should only need 802.3af.
Using a Juniper EX2300-24P which supports 802.3at.
Seeing a log entry where the phone negotiated Class 4 power (802.3at), yet console still does not boot.
Phone recognizes it's there, but says it's offline.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Cheers

You led me down the right path just by your questions - Our Current PoE will not support this setup - I am all set thank you!
