Export Active LDAP Synchronized User (end user) for backup it

Hello everyone, I need to apply a custom filter on ldap to make the 10.5 cucm synchronize only if the specific field (phone number) is compiled.
Now since more than 700 users (end users) synchronized and I do not want to destroy the client database, I wondered if it was possible to export all the end users and their relative parameters including user and password in order to restore in case my filter does not work as we expect.
is there something like that on cucm?

Sure, you can export all users to a file by going to Bulk Administration-->Users-->Export Users. That should include usernames and encrypted passwords, as well as the other parameters on the User page.

I used the import / export parameter from the bulk administration including end user and all its dependencies, but from what you write, your method is easier and more direct than mine, so if you had problems synchronizing with the new ldap filter with the file user export I could restore all my data without having to reconfigure the associated device profiles and anything else on the end users right?

I've never had to do a restore using it so take it with a grain of salt, but definitely the associated device field is part of that export, so you should be good there.



If you assign an Owner on the Device config page, or if you Assign Users on the Directory Number page, I'm not sure if those will be restored. Just something to consider. So probably a good idea to hang on to that full export!

Users are not immediately removed if they no longer match the LDAP sync, they will turn into LDAP inactive users and deleted by the garbage disposal mechanism, according to the timers for the process.
