Is there a way to export the phones and their respective switch/ports from CUCM 8.5?
I've looked through the bulk admin tool options, but no luck.
I am looking for the Network Switch/Port information for each phone. The same information you can see when
choosing the i.p. hyperlink from the phone/device and subsequently the network link from that page....
CDP Neighbor Device ID
CDP Neighbor IP Address
CDP Neighbor Port
FYI, all our swiches are Cisco. Am trying to get an inventory of switches. updates have not been done in CER and there is no accurate inventory anywhere.

No, that info is nowhere to be found within CUCM. You would need to look into 3rd party products that actually go to each phone to gather information, and I'm not even sure if those would get that for you.

If you don't mind the effort you can cross reference information from each switch using sh cdp neighbors and the device phone list from CUCM and use MAC address as a matching key in excel.

Hey StephRoss,
Good news is that Serialgrabber which is a FREE 3rd party app that will grab Phone info as well as the switch and switchport info.
Bad news, I believe it only supports older phone models, like the 7940 and 7960s. They may have a newer version that will locate the newer phones, but I haven't seen it.
The other option, which Moyo suggested, is to manually walk your network with cdp and locate all phones and assoicated switchports.
Hope this helps.

Thank you All.
I was afraid it would be a tedious process. But that's ok. at least I'll get a good starting inventory when I'm done.
