I have a 2801 ISR as part of my home lab with a 64Mb Flash ATA memory card. Not enough to support more recent versions of CME. The smallest size I can buy at circuit city is 4Gb. The cisco stuff it overpriced so I was wondering if the 2801 will recognize (even partial capacity) of a 4Gb card? This is not in production so I just need 256Mb or so and I don't really care if it's the official cisco flash or not. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried it?

We have 2 routers today in our environment running on Sandisk 2MB Compact Flash cards and everything has been running for a while with no issues.

The maximum amount of CF the 2801 will recognize is 128 MB.
The other 2800's support up to 256 MB.
I think other compact flash manufacturers will work as long as you format them with a 2800.
