force remote ip phone to use G.729

Dears,

Is there anyway to force a remote ip phone registered to cme to use codec g729 when it contacts local ip phones, unity express and pstn numbers?

Does the transcoder config on the cme and the g729 configuration on the remote ephone help?

Try putting this command under the ephone configuration:

codec g729r8 dspfarm-assist
