Forcing Mute to stay active when toggling between Headset and Speaker

Hi,

anyone know how to force the mute to stay on for 7941/2 phones when toggling

between headset and Speaker. Currently when on mute and you toggle between

the headset and speaker the mute comes off and the user needs to press it

again to activate.

Hi Dominic,

Not sure what firmware version you are running but looking at the latest revision, it looks like there is no way to force the mute function to be invoked while switching between the headset and the handset.  More than likely it is due to the fact that both the headset and speaker buttons for example can cause onhook or offhook behaviors and it would be pointless to have those always be on mute when pressed.
