Hello all,
I was wondering if i can use an FSX port provided by my voip service provider's router and connect it to the CME 7.1 running on 2800 router to test inbound and outbound calls ?
I know it can be done using a SIP trunk, i tried and worked, and obviously using a voice PRI which I'm not going to order to test the inbound and outbond calls..
Anyone have done it, or is it even possible ?

I can't see why not, if you would add a dailpeer (using SIP) on your CME router pointing to the IP address of your voip service provider's router, using the desired pattern, and vice versa. That should work.
provide some details (DN's and IP addresses) if you are unsure, so we can work out a config on the CME router.
regards
Dennis

Dennis,
Thanks for the response!
I do not have access to the ISP router, its a regular VOIP router that provides home phone service..

Hi,
To connect to service provider, you will need FXO port. Generally service provider will give FXO connectoin and we connect our analog phones to FXS ports.
