FXO RJ21 termination - 12FXO

Hi All,

SM-X-8FXS/12FXO

A client has a bunch of FXO lines thus we are proposing the 12FXO Single-wide service module instead of several NIM-4FXO cards

How do i terminate FXO lines with this RJ21 connector as needed on this High-Density Analog Voice Module, as we're only familiar with the RJ11 NIM ports on standard routers plugged straight from TELCO side to our router

Appreciate any advise

Hi,

From service Provider, your connections will be terminated /available on a IDF/MDF board in your telco room. From Telco board/IDF/MDF you will raise a RJ21 Cable which will be having RJ21 connector on one end that will be connected to Router FXO NM while other side will be having Cable pairs which you can then terminate on the board.  Have a look on below link:

On Voice Gateway, you will be seeing 12 FXO ports
