GUI CUCM shown "Database communication error"

PROBLEMS:

1. "Database communication error" on CUCM GUI
This problem happen after "Storage Raid Battery SLOT-2 is inoperable"
After reseat RAID Battery, then that error happen

 

QUESTIONS:

System run on cluster. The problem is in publisher

1. Let say I have to recreate the publisher but I don't have security passphrase of running subscriber.
Is that possible to reset security passphrase of subscriber

2.How if I create new cluster with new hostname and ip address then restore from Subscriber backup
But I don't know what will happen after restored

Will the hostname and ip address changed to what in backup or it retain new ip and hostname
If restored backup won't change server ip and hostname then how to change ip and hostname to follow old hostname and ip

Personally, I would restart the box from CLI. unless you want to raise a TAC case.

 

if you run this in a cluster, you should not have an outage.

1) To recreate Publisher you need Security Paraphrase of Publisher not subscriber. If you don't have subscriber paraphrase you can just add new subscriber after you rebuild PUblisher.

2) You have to install the Publisher with same IP address as it is there in the backup. Backup and restore will not work with different IP and hostname. You once restore is successful you can change the IP of CUCM

I would recommend raising a TAC Case to properly resolve this issue instead of rebuilding.
