I have various h323 Polycom video endpoints at remote locations around Europe which will be registered to a CUCM (v7.1) in London. I also have Cisco phones with VT Advantage registered to the same cluster in London. Between the phones in London and the Video endpoints are Checkpoint Firewalls which I need to create policies on to allow the traffic. To do this it would I need to understand the flow of data when the phone calls the video and endpoint and vice versa.
I have an idea of the call flow, but can someone please confirm if this is correct?
Phone ----> Polycom H323 Video endpoint
- Phone dials Polycom
- SCCP signalling takes place between phone and CM
- CM signals polycom for call setup, alerting etc. via H225
- RTP stream is established directly between endpoints
