H323 Gateway + SIP PSTN

Hi All,

my PSTN provider will upgrade their T1 line to SIP recently, and i have some concern about the VG configuration:

Currents

CUCM 11--------> H323------> Voice Gateway 3925 ---> T1 ------>PSTN

In new scenario i got one SIP router from service provider with 100 PSTN lines (SIP) and some information about ip address circut number and so on

is possible to keep same setting in my CUCM and VG as below:

CUCM 11 --->H323------> Voice Gateway 3925 ---> SIP ------>PSTN

can i keep the H323 connection and i just change the in-bounce leg from T1 to SIP and keep all the dial peer and VG setting ( eg, Media Resource, Xcode, Conference )?

thanks for the help, and please provide some sample configuration if possible .

Regards

Accept what was and what is, and you’ll have more positive energy to pursue what will be.

do yourself a favor and do SIP all the way. It can work with H323/SIP, but with SIP e2e you will not run into any potential protocol incapabilities.

You can keep your DSP farmed resources.

cheers
