I am updating from 8.6.2 to 8.6.2.2.  Its about 75 minutes in to the update and running cleanup.  How long does it usually take to complete?

Hi John,

I think it would take about  1hour and 35-40 minutes.

regds,

aman

Thank you for the response.  It must be close.  Its now moved to steps 5 of 6 on the cleanup.  I'm right around an hour and a half.  I'm thinking another 15 minutes.

2 hours in.  Still running.  But no errors yet (other than my browser disconnected and I had to launch it again).  So I think I'm going to be good.

2.5 hours in...I'm keeping the thread open so others can get an idea of how long if they are planning to upgrade.

Hi John,

Is it still going on ?

regds,

aman

Yes.  Its on some script.  Says its running.  I've been doublechecking through the CLI which also says its running.  I have no reason yet to beleive its going to fail.  Just think its taking a while.

I have to do the subscriber when I'm done with the publisher, so I'm really hoping to finish this one up soon.

Hi John,

From Subscriber OS Administration page, can u share output of

show version active and show version inactive

regds,

aman

This is from the CLI of the subscriber

admin:show version active

Active Master Version: 8.6.2.20000-2

Just finished.  Final time 3 hours and 4 minutes.

Hi John,

Did u switchover to new version ?

regds,

aman

Yes, I had chose to change version and reboot with the install.  Total time to install was almost exactly 3 hours.  Then another 15 minutes to reboot.  Its up now.  I just started patching my Subscriber.

When I finish that, I'll reload the jabber for everyone cop file and call it a night.
