How to edit the services on the Cisco IP phone

How can we edit the services according to our specifications on the cisco ip phones, have some knoweldge about it that we use the Cisco SDK for xml  scripting and editing, can anybody let me know the exact steps for the same, so that i can create a specific notification service for the entire organization at my end.

Hi

You have the SDK, then you have the knowledge... there will also be an up-to-date 'IPPS App Development Notes' for your version of CUCM at developer.cisco.com in the IP Phone Services API section.

Basically you will create a web service that does whatever your notification service needs to do. Any information required from or displayed on the phones must be done by serving XML objects to the phones as described in the developer documents.

So you won't be 'editing' the services on CUCM, you'll be creating a new one, deploying it on a seperate server, and assigning it to phones via the 'Phone Services' menu in CUCM.
