how to monitor CUCM phone on-a-call status via CUPS

Hi All.

         from this datasheet http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/unified-presence/data_sheet_c78-728056.html

I see the CUPS have the cisco phone status feature with this description   

"IM and Presence Service supports telephony on-a-call status for any device connect to Cisco Unified Communications Manager, including any Cisco IP Phone, Cisco client soft phone, Cisco Analog Telephone Adaptor, or third-party connected device. The telephony status is aggregated into the overall user status and as rich, network-based presence, is always available regardless of what devises or clients the end user is using."

 

but i tried to search method how to config this , but no luck i can't find any help

 

please suggest me

Simply do your integration as instructed by the guides, make sure all user/device/line associations are in place, add someone who doesn't have Jabber to your contact list, he will always show offline and will only show as on a call when he pickups the handset.

EDIT: this will also happen for people who DO use Jabber, but do not log in.
