Hi Guys,
I have ran into a problem. We have 2 sites connected via GRE tunnel, which needs to have VoIP connectivity.
Problem is, that only one site has IP-Telephony services available (Cisco 2900 router). It has all the VoIP configuration and phones on this site can register with no problem, however, the remote site has a simple Cisco 870 router with no IP-Telephony services, so phones connected to 870 would need to register to the C2900 via GRE tunnel.
Is this possible to achieve ? My only thought now is L2 VLAN bridging via tunnel.
Any suggestion would be appreciated :)

Hi,
Yes, your phones can connect and register to the remote site over a gre tunnel. You do not need bridging. Ensure your routing is configured correctly and your dhcp server on the 870 is pointing to the 2900
Thanks

Hi,
Your phones should register without problem as long as you have IP connectivity between the 2 sites.
For ease of use, you may statically assign on the remote Phone as TFTP Server1 the IP address of the 2900 that has the role of the CME.
Please rate if this helps

Got it working by adding DHCP scope to 870. Thanks guys. :)
