My client is requesting this feature:
When the user is on the phone with caller 1, there is another caller 2 calling. But the users can't pick up the call from the caller 2 at the moment and caller 2 is transfered to VM and is leaving voice message. Is the user able to put the caller 1 on hold, and retrieve the active call from caller 2 while caller 2 is leaving voice message?
This feature is available in ther Nortel System.
My client is running CME 8.5 and CUE 8.5.1.

AFAIK only Unity has that feature.

i dont thin you can do with with CUCM and CME !
because once the call get transferred to VM then the caller will lose the control with that call to retrieve, redirect ..etc
unless you setup an option menu in the voice mail to ask the caller to retry ring the called person again !
