Hello!
I have been tasked with adding a Netgear switch to a Cisco network. All worked fine.
Now they want to move 2 7965G phones to work off of the Netgear switch.
My issue is getting a computer connected to the phone to get an IP.
What I need to do is set the phone Vlan ID to 20.
It is Settings/Network/Option #6 Vlan ID.
However, that option is not functional on the phone.
It gets its config through TFTP.
I have the complete config if it is needed.
Thank you for looking at my issue!

Thank you! I missed this.
If I set a phone with an admin Vlan, does it stay there after a reboot?

I am still confused.
My Netgear switch is set as follows:
Native Vlan 10 (Netgear calls it PVID)
Vlan 20 is voice and it is Tagged
I set the Administrative Vlan to 20 on the phone.
It still gets its TFTP load but then will not get an IP.
What am I missing?

First phone should get the IP. and then comes the TFTP.
Whats the status of the phone DHCP, enabled or disabled ?.since your switch port support both data and voice vlan , there is no need to configure the vlan on phone.phone should get the vlan informations from switch using LLDP.check if LLDP is enabled by default on switch or not.if not, enable LLDP on the switch. . Remove the static vlan configuration and have a try.
Below mentioned link explain how to configured voice and data vlan on netgear, but I am not sure if it match your model or not

DHCP is enabled on the phone.
Are you saying that I need to remove just the Vlans for the ports of do I need to remove the trunk Vlan tagging as well?
