how to upgrade IP Phone 7945 firmware?

hello everyone

I have a phone IP Phone 7945, I did a factory reset.

now I want to upgrade it to a firmware I have downloaded from the internet.

what i did:

create a DHCP server on a Mikrotik router

i have added option 150 ,

installed filezilla server

now when the phone boot up, it shows the IP itself instead of showing my laptop IP which is the TFTP server.

how to work around this, please?

I remember this being an annoying pain both with the Mikrotik (as it does not serve options not requested) and the phones to some degree since they don't have a ton of feedback. There's another reset code that causes the phone to look for like, "term45.default" so you don't need to hose around with load info strings in the configuration file.

I think that also skips the need to have the keys installed going from the 8.3(2) era forward but I don't recall, we've since begun scrapping these phones out due to them being EOL and having bad flash memory.
