Hi,
I am configuring a hunt pilot, say 8888 and I would like incoming PSTN calls to 12345678 to use the hunt pilot number 8888 to reach DNs in the hunt list.
I know this can be done using a translation rule in the h323 gateway,
Is it possible to use Call manager to do the transformation or translation instead. How do you transform 12345678 to 8888 ?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

Good morning, Paul.
Do you intend to run the gateway as H.323 or MGCP?

It is running h323. If I decide not to use a translation pattern at the h323 gateway.
How do you go about doing it in call manager ?
Thanks

simple
on the gateway setting page make sure that the significant digit set to all
and on the dial-peer on the gateway make sure that the gateway will sedn the whole number to ur CCM
on callmanager creat a trnaslation pattren with pattren set to 12345678
give the translation pattren a partion the is accessable by the gateway CSS the gateway CSS must include this translation pattren partion
give the translation pattren a CSS that has access to the hungroup partion
now in the buttom of the translation pattren settin page there a called number trasnformation mask put it as 8888
thats it
but make sure u have check every point i mentioned above to get it work
good luck
