I have a cisco cme router with fxo ports and an analog pabx system with diiferent extension numbers than IP telephony DN. Right now I have connected FXO ports with PABX through FXS ports on that side. Now I can dial PABX extensions from IP Phone but no calls can come from other side.
please help.

Hi,
In the PBX you need to configure extensions for these FXO lines. after that you need to configure inbound dial-peer to match the inbound call from PBX, doing the proper voice translation and it should work.
I will assume that the PBX extension is 201, and CME extension is 301.
voice tranaslation-rule 1
rule 1 /201/ /301/
voice translation-profile in
translate called 1
dial-peer voice 1 pots
incoming called-number 2..
translation-profile incoming in
direct-inward-dial
port 0/0/0

Hi aabueideh,
Thnx for your reply. I want to explain a liitle bit about my scanario. Right now my analog PABX system extensions are only 3 digits long but my IP Phones DNs are 4 digits long. From PABX end I have 6 FXS lines connected to my Router FXO ports. I have configured a hunt group in analog PABX sytem to take these all 6 FXS lines when dial 77 but user hear a dial tone and after busy tone when try to reach my IP phones. In this scanario do I need to configure anything more or not?
Please help.
Thanks,
Arif
